Finally after a week of building elements such as planets and galaxies, cutting subjects out of images with the pen tool, extracting fire and explosion from their background with a channel selection in Photoshop, and merging multiple images from my own library, I have a finished poster.
I didn’t count the number of layers, but the .psd file is 1.385G… so there are a bunch of them. And that doesn’t include the layers in those files I built as separate files (like the upper background scene) and just imported it here as a single layer to reduce the overall size of the file.
So it’s on to the next one… I think I’ll make a villain one next..Darth Maul and Darth Vader and Kylo Ren together in one poster. Then I think I’m going to do one with all the droids, R2D2, C-3PO and BB8, and then maybe one with Captain Phasma and the Stormtroppers. I also have a few images of Chewbacca, so I need to work something up with him as well. I’ll just get started and see where it takes me. Hopefully the next one doesn’t take a week, as I have many of my elements and brushes already built now.
