Florence Italy – A Walk About

November 18, 2011

This will be the last post of Florence.  Tomorrow we are on to the French Riviera and Monaco – Our LAST DAY on this tour.  I will have about 5 more posts of the Riviera  (Arrival, Nice, Eze, Monaco and Monte Carlo)

Today are a variety of images I captured in the last hour we had to stroll the streets of Florence before returning to the motor coach for the 90 minute ride back to the ship.  We made our way back to the Mary of the Flowers Basilica, because we did not have time to go inside during the tour.  We did find it, but after spending 15-20 minutes inside, we only had about 25 minutes to find our way back to the Piazza de Santa Croce.  It was an adventure and I felt like I was on a “force march” only without a backpack.  We finally made it…. only to wait for at least another 30 minutes for the rest of the tour group to assemble.  There’s always one that doesn’t have a watch!

Enjoy!
