After visiting the Waimea Canyon, I drove back across the main highway to see a couple of the waterfalls on the south-east corner of the island. Because of the traffic and the road construction, I did not get to see as many things as I would have liked on Kauai. But, I did take a quick detour off the main highway to drive through the town of Hanapepe. You can read a little bit about the town’s history here.
It was a quaint little town with galleries and artist.. worth the 15 minutes to drive off the main path to see it.. but then it was on to Wailua Falls.
