Friday – May 6, 2011 – Liberty Square and the Catholic Cathedral
After visiting the Orthodox Cathedral, we continued down the street to the Catholic Cathedral and the central city square known as Liberty Square. The statue in the center was occupied by a man playing a bag-pipe like instrument. Here is a quick little video I captured of him. After taking a few pictures, we sat and had a coffee at… you guessed it.. McDonalds!! McCafe is very common in Europe.
Some of the other main buildings on the square are city hall, the Hotel Vojvodina (the large yellow building) and a couple of banks. See a 360 view here: Next we will head to the Synagogue and a few other sites around the city.
