It was REALLY COLD tonight! But that didn’t keep me from capturing some images at the Riverbank Zoo holiday lights. We try to make the “lights at the zoo” one of our annual holiday events. If you have never been, pick a warmer night and take the kids!!
This year had a concentration of lights around the front plaza and as usual, the opportunity to warm your hands and roast a marshmallow at the Jingle Bell Bonfire. The “music in motion” show in the back near the elephant area was spectacular. Unfortunately, most of my images of this area were not very good. By the time I was there, my hands were almost too cold to focus!
Here are a few images. These were shot with a tripod and the camera set to ISO 200, some manual focus and some auto focus, aperture F8, and most of the timing was around 1.6 to 4 seconds. I did a little post processing to enhance the colors. Hope you like them!
