I finally got my wireless remote shutter release and my lightweight tripod in the mail today. I wanted to try out the Sony NEX-5N on the small tripod so I can see how well it’s going to work for travel. I also took my gorillapod with me, as I wanted to get some close-ups of the flowers from “well.. the flower’s perspective”
I went over to our botanical gardens and I was amazed how many new flowers have bloomed since I was there just a couple of weeks ago. A sure sign that spring is just around the corner (at least here in South Carolina)
It was VERY WINDY and a bit cold today… high 50’s…for me.. that’s still a little cool. It would have been ok except for the wind. So.. the flowers were not going to be still, and most ofthe images I took were blurry, in spit of the fact that I was on a tripod for every shot, and I had a remote release.
Here are a few of the ones that I liked.
I shot this one from down under the bush, looking up. I had the sun behind the pedals.
