We spent two weeks in August in Europe on a river cruise from Bucharest to Budapest and I have over 3,000 images to organize, name, and process for the blog. Then, with only two short weeks at home, we headed out again for a 7 day Western Caribbean cruise on the Disney Fantasy. I have about 1,500 images from the Disney trip which I’ve decided I will organize first and leave the European trip for later in the year.
So, with only 3 more posts from the Roman trip in the draft folder, I decided to start my first post about the Disney cruise. Here is the itinerary of our trip.

As I just finished teaching a series of Lightroom classes for my Photo Club, I decided to make this post about the “before and after” of 7 images I took as we departed Port Canaveral heading to Cozumel Mexico. It was just before sunset and I decided to enhance the feel of the images a bit to project the mood an hour or so later in the day. Hope you like the results.
Adjustments included a graduated filter on the sky to warm the temperature, decrease the highlights and exposure a bit and increase the contrast. I also used the “sunset” brush to highlight the edges of the ship and cast a bit of sunlight on the water. Global adjustments to open shadows, and clarity and set the white and black points were also made as well as overall contrast adjustments.
