Kauai’s Magnificent Views of the Pacific
At the very top of the canyon road is the Kalalau Lookout which faces the west side of Kauai. This lookout provides you with a panoramic view of the Kalalau Valley, the largest valley on Na Pali.
At 4,000 foot elevation, the air here is much cooler than along the coast or in the valleys. Nene, the Hawaiian goose, are often seen in the parking lots and along the road here.
Today the only way to visit the beach or valley is by the Kalalau Trail as it stretches 11 grueling miles along the Na Pali coastline.
Kalalau Valley is the largest valley on the island at two miles wide.
