The highlight of our day in Costa Rica had to be the Crocodile Man Tour on the Rio Grande de Tarcoles. Our taxi driver and guide took us directly to the tour office for a cash price and then dropped us at the boat dock. We hurried to join a boat that had just left the dock, so no waiting around for the tour to begin. We were out on the river a little over an hour.
Talk about being up close and personal with these amazing beasts; these handlers get right in the water with the crocs and feed them by hand. Of course, these animals get fed every hour of the day by 5 or 6 passing tour boats, so they are definitely not hungry. I had my long lens on and was able to get some amazing close up shots as they move toward the boat.
