Guadalupe State Park

I spend a few hours at Guadalupe State Park yesterday.  Several images still need to be processed, but here are a just three of the ones I have finished.  Monochromes work well for this area because the gnarly tree roots along the river just lend themselves to the high contrast of black and white images.

The color ones are here as well for those who just want to see the color.  I added a color LUT profile called Korben 214 at about 50% strength to color grade the image. These LUTS were free for Photoshop and I converted them to LR profiles.   The profile adds a nice color pop to my fall trees without giving the neon autumn colors that are just not available in south Texas.

I also use the HSL sliders and push up the luminosity of my orange, yellow and green channels (not saturation) to give the leaves a little pop without over saturating them.
