Inside St. Peter’s Basilica 1of 3

I took lots of different images inside the Basilica.  It was almost impossible to stand in one place and capture an image and not feel like you need to capture just one more angle, one more position, one more composition.  It’s impossible to take it all in while you are there.  Thank goodness our cameras provide such great details so we can actually take the time to examine the details of what we saw after we get home.

I plan a series of three posts from inside St. Peter’s Basilica, of the arches, the dome, and various images around the church.  Many look similar, but for me, each captures a unique set of patterns, colors, and light.  I would find it hard to pick just one favorite.  Hope you enjoy them too!  This first grouping is arches and cupolas.

Unfortunately, no tripods, so everything is hand-held and might have a bit of blur.
