Well after a pretty rough start with 0/4 in February, I finally got my first two merits in March for the images “His Majesty” and “A Portrait of a Bee Eater” going 2/4 that month. April was almost a bust, with 1/6 but I did get an open merit for “The Flower Side Chat”. I didn’t submit for May; not sure why – guess the art queue was empty or I had too many other things going on to meet the deadline!
Back at it in June with 1/4 with the Illustrative painting “Annoyed” and then in July, I went 1/4 again but finally got my first IE from the new MIR process for “I Like Flowers Too!” Just wrapping up the August reviews, I was 1/5 with all my art entries a bust! But I did get my second IE for the image “Balancing Barbie.”
I should have 2 art and 3 open entries ready by the end of August for the September board. Trying to maximize this month as I probably won’t get much done in September because of our cruise and then I’m teaching at iHeart in October and have to put the finishing touches on my “Feathers and Fur” class.
