Southern Texas 25th Anniversary Corvette Caravan is underway

Southern Texas Caravan

The 6th National Corvette Caravan is slated for August 28-31, 2019. Often referred to as the world’s largest moving automotive event, the National Corvette Caravan is a celebration of America’s Sports Car, culminating in Bowling Green, Kentucky for the anniversary celebration of the National Corvette Museum (NCM). Hosted only once every five years, the event is slated for Labor Day Weekend 2019 and will mark the Museum’s 25th Anniversary.

Southern Texas region includes San Antonio, Houston, Beaumont, Corpus Christi, Victoria, and McAllen. The captain of the Southern region is our Texas Corvette Association NCM Ambassador, Rick Creekmore. Assisting with the Houston, Beaumont-Port Arthur Area leadership is Suzanne Ansley.  The LONE STAR CORVETTE CLUB out of DALLAS joined the Southern Texas region on our trip to Bowling Green and is headed by Curtis Troster.

The San Antonio leg departed this morning and will spend the night outside the Texas Motor Speedway.  They will be joined in the morning by the Dallas caravan group and later tomorrow meet up with the group traveling up from Houston.  The entire Southern Texas caravan will then converge on Little Rock where they will spend the night before arriving in Bowling Green with several thousand other Corvette groups from around the country.

Here are a few images from this morning’s gathering.
