I went to the botanical gardens Friday to practice getting some images with a shallow depth of field background. I used my 400 lens and I also had my 90mm macro lens with me. The previous trip, my apertures were set too high and I ended up with too much background, so I had to try again using f2.8 to f5.6 on the macro, instead of the f8 and f10. The 400 lens only goes down to f5.6, but with the compression, it still gives a nice soft background. Just photos… not textures or painting today.
This series is of a plant I discovered in a pot outside the Northrup Tropical House. Just loved it!
